Airport pickup and houseboat check-in, then an afternoon shikara with the chinars burning copper along the shore.

Day 2 · Saffron fields of Pampore and the old city
Out to Pampore at first light for the saffron harvest — the purple fields, the growers sorting, and a stop at a processing shed — then the old city craft lanes in the afternoon.

Day 3 · Mughal gardens at peak colour
Nishat, Shalimar and Chashme Shahi with the chinars at their best, an unhurried afternoon and an optional sunset at the Char Chinar island.

Day 4 · Pahalgam and the apple country
