We are not a listings site and not a reseller. When you book with Nisba, the people who plan your trip are the people in Srinagar who meet your flight, check your room and take the 6 am call when the Zoji La road is blocked.
We spent our first years doing ground handling for travel agents — the unglamorous end of tourism: airport pickups, room checks, driver rosters. That taught us exactly what goes wrong on a mountain holiday, and how rarely it is the fault of the mountain.
Today we run both sides: a B2B operation with net rates for agents, and a direct line for travellers who want to deal with the people on the ground. Same team, same drivers, same standards, just a different conversation.
What has not changed is scale. We would rather run fewer trips and keep the person answering WhatsApp able to say “I know that hotel, and no, not that room.”
Four things we do not compromise.
Local first
We book the shikara owner we know, the driver who has run the Zoji La road for a decade, the houseboat family whose boat we inspect every season. That is not nostalgia, it is how trips survive a bad weather day.
Honesty over selling
If August is wrong for what you want, we will say so. If a hotel has slipped, we will tell you before you book. A trip you regret is worth less to us than a guest who returns.
Small, deliberate scale
We take a limited number of departures each month on purpose. Growing past our ability to answer the phone would break the only thing that makes us different.
Fair on both sides
Fair rates for guests, prompt payment and safe working conditions for drivers, guides, cooks and porters. Tourism in the mountains only works if the people carrying it can live on it.

We stopped reselling other operators' programmes and began designing Kashmir trips in-house, with our own drivers, inspections and 24×7 ground support.
Ladakh operations
A local Ladakh crew and partners in Leh, so guests could travel Kashmir to Ladakh in one continuous journey.
Direct-to-traveller
We opened our own booking line and started planning directly with guests, not only through travel agents.

Partner offices added so an agent or guest could link Kashmir with the rest of the country on one file.
