The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden sits on the slopes of the Zabarwan range beside Dal Lake and is the centrepiece of Kashmir's spring.
When to go
Blooming usually peaks from late March through April, but the exact dates depend on the winter. Ask us before you book flights.
Beat the crowds
Go right at opening on a weekday. Morning light is soft, and the mountains behind the flowers are clearer.
