The route
Srinagar, Sonamarg, Zojila Pass, Drass, Kargil, Lamayuru and Leh, usually done over two days with a night in Kargil.
Season
The pass opens after winter snow clears and closes again in late autumn. Dates vary each year, so we confirm before finalising.
Altitude
Spend your first day in Leh resting. Drink water, avoid alcohol and don't push your first evening.
